This has always been my own conclusion as well regarding why Nigerians are generally given to primitive acquisition of wealth.
Beyond the issue of owning homes, even those that inherited homes from their parents still go about stealing for their own unborn generation as a form of general security and fear of the unknown.
We need a cleat demonstration of Justice by those in authority for the country to make a headway in the fight against corruption.
A man who has access to mortgage on the basic necessities of life and availability of essential services will most likely be contented and know his child can enjoy the same privileges regardless of his connection or otherwise.
Nigeria’s problems are multifaceted but not insurmountable. We only those with something between their ears and some level of sincerity to begin the journey to true nationhood.
May God bless Nigeria again.

This is a better truth! Let us rebuild educational, religious and traditional institutions conventionally relied on for good moral standards and character for inculcating in-built good values.

Part of the reasons sir, but not entirely true, because our mindset needs to be critically examined and reshaped.
Think about when someone steals, just because he/she wants to live up to the “expected standard of social status”, to throw money around at events/functions, donate huge sums and be recognized at every function or event.
We need to do a total overhaul of our system and orientation, toward our realities, values, ethics and moral standing as a society…….
Thanks Sen Ben Bruce for these efforts, they go a long way, although a lot is still required.
